What Are the Ingredients in True Focus?
True Focus is a specifically formulated product designed to boost the natural production of key neurotransmitters within the brain, Norepinephrine and Dopamine. Only when these neurotransmitters are in abundance can the brain work at its maximum potential, and stay focused and alert.
The two main ingredients it uses to facilitate this process are the amino acid precursors L-Tyrosine and L-Phenylalanine. When the needed ratio of 800mg of L-Tyrosine and 300mg of L-Phenylalanine is present, the body can take these amino acids and convert them into the needed neurotransmitters.
Also included are 36mg of Vitamin C and 12mg of Vitamin B6, which are used during the conversion process. Outside of this process, the product also includes several ingredients that assist mental fortitude in other ways.
100mg of taurine is included, which is an amino acid that supports brain development and helps regulate the level of water and minerals in the blood. It’s also thought to have antioxidant properties.
Other included antioxidants are 80mg of Grape seed extract and 10mg of CoQ10. 70mg Potassium is included because it is an important mineral for brain function. As mentioned before it also includes DMAE and Ginko biloba. 60mg of DMAE helps produce another neurotransmitter, Acetylcholine, and 40mg of ginko biloba is used to help regulate many different mental functions.
What are the side effects of True Focus?
True Focus’ main objective is to help balance the chemical neurotransmitters in the brain, and in this regard there are virtually no side effects for most of the ingredients. It either works, or does nothing. However, grape seed extract has been reported to cause headache, nausea, and dizziness in some people. Ginko biloba has also been noted to cause similar effects, or worse if there are allergies.
User Reviews of True Focus?
Reviews for True Focus are highly positive, but not impressively so. Amazon.com has the product at 3.6 stars out of 5, iherb.com gives the product 4.0 out of 5, and swansonvitamins.com gives the product 42.5 out of 5.
“My older memories are clearer and I am just happier and healthier feeling overall. I don’t find a mental battle to remember to be so tiring anymore. It’s great to feel as sharp as I did when I was young. I wouldn’t trade this feeling. I plan to keep this fully stocked in my house for years to come.”- ToddFox, 4 stars on amazon.com
“Provides a noticeable difference in alertness. You feel sharper, concentrated, and dare I say, motivated! Don’t take it too long after lunch unless you’re planning an all-nighter. And always a pleasure to deal with Iherb.”- Peter Oz, 5 stars on iherb.com.
“This is a good production company, but I didn’t feel any effects from taking true focus. I didn’t have any side effects either”- Max Kramsky, 2 stars on amazon.com
Is True Focus Worth Buying?
True Focus from Now Foods seems like a quality product from a respected brand. However, it doesn’t seem to be for everyone. Neurotransmitter production may be low due to age, poor diet, or genetic illness, and for those mentioned above it should work wonders for mental agility, focus, and concentration. When someone is a fairly healthy young adult however, the product may not have that much work to do, and you may not notice much of a difference. Luckily, the product is very cheap, going online for just under $12.00 per 45 servings. In the case of True Focus, I think for the general public there is probably better products, but if you fit into any of the above categories it may be exactly what you’re looking for.
